The Common Observer
„The art of Marija Koruga forms a unique circle that joins women of different generations in their creative endeavours: I am writing about a woman who paints female artists, and is inspired by the writings of a female writer who writes about other female writers. The writer in question is Virginia Woolf, and she established a new approach to writing based on identification with the female authors she wrote about. Similarly, Marija Koruga identifies with female artists, painting them and reviving their words, first intimately and from within, and then, on canvas.“
